This is the Inlet Manifold Gasket for early 16v K Series engines. 

A leaking Inlet Manifold Gasket causes coolant loss in most circumstances, however when the seal fails completely the loss of coolant can cause either HGF or hydrolocking due to the water lost flowing into cylinder #1.
