These sensors are used in Rover 75 / MG ZT applications from mid-2003 onwards - they will NOT fit the earlier cars. If your sensor has the metal base, and does not look like this one, then it WILL NOT FIT and it WILL NOT WORK. All cars with the vin sequence that pre-dates 3D279844 have the other type sensor
