This is the fabled Spring Protector Kit for all Rover 75 / MG ZT models - the front suspension springs are known to snap which can puncture the tyre. 

The Spring Protector Kit was released by MG Rover as a way to mitigate this risk; the aim of the kit is to stop the sharp end of the broken spring making contact with the tyre. 

Supplied as a pair (enough for both sides) and with securing bolts.
